Collection: Rainforest Alliance certified

The Rainforest Alliance is committed to nature conservation and better social conditions in agriculture and forestry. The program stimulates continuous improvement in the sectors and involves the entire chain.

Both individual farms and (small-scale) farmers represented by a group manager can be certified, with specific conditions per situation.

The quality mark also sets social requirements, such as that a mandatory financial compensation is paid to producers of coffee, on top of the market price. In addition, the program helps producers and companies to discover and bridge the gap to a living income (for producers) and a living wage (for workers). There are requirements in accordance with the provisions of the International Labor Organization (ILO) of the UN, such as a ban on child labour, forced labor and discrimination, and the guarantee of freedom of association and a safe working environment.
